Online quizzes - a waste of time? Here is one for only those familiar with all the Jane Austen novels. This also seems to only apply to the female gender, as I did not see any male characters in the list of results.
Having just read The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennett, the quiz just fell into my internet lap and I could not resist. The Uncommon Reader is a brilliant novella. I do not want to spoil the plot as it is delicious. Jane Austen makes a cameo appearance.

Sorry, I think I'll pass on the quiz. ;-) But the woman in the photo looks much like you!
Juliana,
I changed my mind and took the quiz, and...I am also Eleanor! What an amazing coincidence. I am going to post this on FaceBook.

Welcome to the family, cousin Elinor. Here's a quote from our namesake (from the 1995 movie version of "Sense and Sensibility")on IMDB:
[Edward and Elinor are baiting Margaret, who is playfully hiding]
Edward Ferrars: I wish to check the position of the Nile. My sister tells me it is in South America.
Elinor Dashwood: No. She's quite wrong, for I believe it is in Belgium.
Edward Ferrars: You must be thinking of the Volga.
Margaret: The Volga?
Elinor Dashwood: Of course, the Volga. Which, as you know, starts in...
Edward Ferrars: Vladivostock, and ends in...
Elinor Dashwood: Wimbledon.
Edward Ferrars: Precisely. Where the coffee beans come from.
Margaret: The source of the Nile is in Abyssinia.
Cousin Elinore,
I am still thinking dashing naval officer might be a more suitable character for me. Perhaps from this point forward, I will known as "Midshipman Elinore"...heh heh heh!! :-)
My, what Friday afternoon frivolities we have going on here!
